The LA Kings have won the first two games in overtime to put the NJ Devils in a hole.
The Los Angeles Kings have been road warriors in this 2012 post season, with an a record of 10-0 away from home. They added the last two road wins by winning the first two games of this season’s Stanley Cup Finals against the New Jersey Devils, at The Rock in Newark, New Jersey. The Kings have taken a commanding lead in the series, two games to the Devil’s zero.
These first two games have not been a plain everyday stroll in the park for LA. Both games, in front of a sea of red that flooded the Prudential Center, have not been settled in regulation time. With stellar goaltending from LA’s 26 year old Jonathan Quick and NJ’s 40 year old future hall of fame net minder Martin Brodeur, this has been a challenging task to get the puck in the back of the net.
The Kings have come out flying through each opponent this post season, having only lost two games total with a record of 14-2. Their focus and deter...

The Los Angeles Kings continue to roll through the Stanley Cup playoffs, just one win away from winning it all, and they also continue to "troll" their way through. There's no question that the Kings have been far and away the league's best team in the last month, and in the process of winning 15 games, L.A. has gotten some notoriety for off-ice things as well....

Dee Karl: The Quick & The Dread
Do you know how long I had to think before I even came up with a headline as dumb as that one? Days.
There are only two NHL players whose names begins with a âQâ and if Jonathan Quick, the Milford CT native wins the Stanley Cup, he will be the first PLAYER whose name begins with âQâ to be etched on the silver ring. Joel Quenneville is on there as a Coach...

Devils need to call on their road resilience
The Devils don't have NHL history on their side as they head to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup final down 2-0. But they do have some favorable 2012 Devils history. While only five of the 47 teams that went down 0-2 in the final came back to win, including only two of the 11 that lost Games 1 and 2 at home, the Devils headed west after Saturday night's...
Matthew Barry: KINGS WIN: GAME FOURTEEN!!!
New Jersey's game plan was absolutely brilliant. The Kings didn't know what hit them. They couldn't move a puck out of their own zone and had to resort to dumping and chasing. They couldn't establish a forecheck and couldn't defend against the Devils.
Drew Doughty's goal doesn't get past Marty 5 years ago. Hell, maybe even 2 years ago, but if Brown...
