Steve Zipay at Newsday says while fans are clamoring for the Rangers to obtain a top-six forward, such as Rick Nash, the better option would be to wait on the Rangers top prospect Chris Kreider next year.Kreider is leading the Boston College in scoring with 14 goals and 11 assists in 20 games.At 21, Zipay says Krieder could start in the AHL and possibly turn into an impact player next season....couldn't agree more with Zipay. If the Rangers plan on bringing in a player of Nash's caliber it will cost them a ton of prospects and maybe a young NHLer. I think this team, as constructed now, can contend for a Cup without acquiring a big name forward....will be awesome to have three young stud forwards in Stepan, Hagelin and Kreider on the team next season.Zipay also gave out his first half awards, saying Henrik Lundqvist is the team's first half MVP...MVPHenrik Lundqvist.
