According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, UFA defenseman Kurtis Foster has signed a two year deal at $1.8 million per with the Edmonton Oilers. In Foster, the Oilers get a player that has a booming shot from the point and one that can produce points. Last season, Foster had 42 points in 71 games for the Tampa Bay Lightning. 26 of Foster's 42 points came on the power play, so you know that new head coach Tom Renney has a solid power play quarterback in Foster. He was second among defenseman in points on the free agent pool coming into today.
