DALLAS (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Lightning earned a rare road victory, and they got it done without a goal from top scorer Steven Stamkos.
Instead, it was Teddy Purcell who supplied the offense with two goals, and Mathieu Garon made 27 saves to help Tampa Bay beat the Dallas Stars 2-1 on Friday night.

Stamkos had 11 goals in his previous 11 games and leads the NHL with 31. All five of his shots were turned aside by Lehtonen, but Purcell gave his team a lift.
Martin St. Louis had the primary assist on each of Purcell's goals as the Lightning ended a six-game winless streak on the road (0-5-1).
