All-Star Evgeni Malkin scored his third goal in four contests and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 25 shots as the Pittsburgh Penguins snapped a six-game losing skid with a 4-1 road triumph over the Florida Panthers on Friday.

James Neal collected a goal and an assist and Steve Sullivan and Tyler Kennedy also tallied for Pittsburgh, which saw Sidney Crosby resume skating earlier in the day. Plagued by concussion-like symptoms, the captain skated for 27 minutes, but no timetable was given for his return.

Entering the game with six goals in as many contests, Pittsburgh drew first blood early in the second period after Florida goaltender Scott Clemmensen misplayed the puck.

Matt Cooke gained possession and immediately fed Sullivan, who quickly swept it into the open net ahead of a diving Clemmensen and rookie defenseman Erik Gudbranson.

Malkin doubled the advantage with 35 seconds remaining in the second period. After skating in on a 2-on-1, the Russian's initial shot was denied by Clemmensen, but he alertly backhanded the rebound past the netminder for his 18th goal of the season.

Michal Repik ended Fleury's bid for his 22nd career shutout 6:55 into the third period for Florida, which has dropped seven of its last 10 games to see its lead in the Southeast Division shrink to two points over the Washington Capitals.
