Found October 24, 2013 on Puck Drunk Love:
Mike Milbury was not happy about John Scott's dirty hit on Loui Eriksson. This anger boiled over and led to some critical remarks about Scott and Buffalo's coaching staff, including his belief that Ron Rolston should be fired by the Sabres.  Courtesy of SB Nation, here's video of Milbury's statements: Rolston has already been fined by the league this season for his decision to place his enforcers out on the ice, but Milbury doesn't think that's good enough. He thinks Rolston is drowning and needs to be removed from his post.  Mike Milbury on Scott (pre-game): I don't know what he's doing in the league. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I believe that players who play in this league should be able to skate and pass, not simply ignite a fight. To me, that's exactly what he does. Pretty accurate comments from Milbury before the game even started. We hate to say it, but in this instance Milbury is the voice of ...

A Spano Story: Review of ESPN's 30 for 30 film "Big Shot"

When you're able to make Mike Milbury, famously abrasive hockey analyst, a sympathetic figure over the course of a 90-minute documentary, well, you've certainly accomplished something. Unfortunately for ESPN and Kevin Connolly, the latest installment of their 30 for 30 series profiling former Islanders owner and professional con artist John Spano, that's just about...

The Bruins and Sabres faced off on Wednesday night as a part of NHL Rivalry Night, and Buffalo’s John Scott earned himself an early exit from the game in the third period with this brutal cheap shot to the head of Boston’s Loui Eriksson. GARTH'S CORNER: Scott Reaction

As the lyric from the title song from the '70s thriller "The Poseidon Adventure" goes, "there has to be a morning after". John Scott spoke after the Sabres practiced today.

John Scott's a ******* Joke

There's no point to John Scott. Seriously. The guy has five career points in 180 games and never finishing with a positive plus/minus rating. Dude hasn't scored a goal since '09-'10 season.  And for the people ready to talk about fighters, there's a huge difference between enforcer and a goon, and John Scott is captain of the latter.  Guy can barely...

Sabres Hack John Scott Pounds Bruins Forward Loui Eriksson in the Head

Last night, Buffalo Sabres pylon, hack, one-dimensional forward, John Scott hit Boston Bruins forward Loui Eriksson in the head with one of the dirtiest hits I have seen this season. It doesn't appear that the players are learning anything. Scott's teammate Patrick Kaleta is already serving a 10-game suspension for his dirty hit on Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson...

Jack Edwards' Twitter rants are as crazy as his announcing

With the NHL season well underway we're way overdue in checking in on one of our favorite local announcers - Boston Bruins play by play man Jack Edwards.  Let's spin the Jack Edwards Wheel of Insanity and see where we land... [Price is Right Wheel Noise] Crazed Twitter rant it is!  We just narrowly missed out on another Sirhan Sirhan reference. Jacko had to...

Random tweeters try and defend John Scott

Lost in the hubbub of the the World Series last night was the Boston Bruins playing in Buffalo against a terrible hockey team. Everything was going swimmingly for most of the game. The Bruins were scoring goals, they were having a good time, people were laughing at the misfortune of Buffalo. Oh Buffalo. Without you, we would not have most of our hockey humor and the world would be...

Bruins’ Loui Eriksson leaves game following hit

Boston Bruins forward Loui Eriksson left the game following a hit by Buffalo Sabres forward John Scott and did not return, as per the team’s official Twitter account. The injury occurred late in the third period. Scott was given a major penalty for charging. Eriksson skated off the ice with help from his teammates as he was clearly dazed after the hit to the head. Eriksson was...

Drop Passes

By: Rich Miller (@pensbender) This is pretty straight forward, right?  John Scott is a statue on skates and is basically as one-dimensional as they come in today’s NHL.  In 187 career games, he’s tallied five points.  Five.  It’s counterproductive, yet punch throwers and cheap-shot artists like Scott continue to take roster spots away from guys who can actually play hockey...
