According to hockey30.com, the Wild and free agent center Mike Comrie have come to terms on a deal, but general manager Chuck Fletcher has told Comrie to wait as he still holds hope that he'll be able to get free agent left wing Alex Tanguay to sign instead.Since Fletcher was unable to sign Saku Koivu earlier in the season, he's been looking for another "top six forward."Offensively speaking, Tanguay would most likely be the better option. He is only 29-years-old so he still has plenty of years ahead of him in the NHL. Tanguay has great speed, great hands, and can be a great set-up man as well as being able to bury the puck. In 659 career games spanning nine NHL seasons, he has 193 goals (avg. 21.4 goals per season) and 387 assists (43.0 assists per season).On the other hand, Mike Comrie would be another option at center for the Wild, a position that could be considered a weakness when looking at their forwards.
