Amazing pic of John Mitchell celebrating his first goal as a Ranger during the Blueshirts 4-3 win over the Penguins last night...Mitchell has 1g, 2a and is a +3 in the three games since being recalled with Carl Hagelin....i've got to admit when I saw that Mitchell had been recalled with Hagelin my first thought was "why?" I guess now I know. The chemistry he has with Hagelin is something special. They've even helped raise Boyle's game. Here's video of Mitchell's goal... Revisiting The Mats Zuccarello Situation

When the Rangers made the decision to call up Carl Hagelin and John Mitchell last week, they were doing so for two reasons: they needed to address a need in the lineup (speed) and to try and shake things up a bit after a stale two games. Out of the lineup was Erik Christensen, and into the lineup were Hagelin and Mitchell, and both have held their own thus far. What the Rangers also...

Hagelin Has Opportunity to Stick with Rangers

Andrew Gross at Rangers Rants reports that John Tortorella has liked what he's seen from Carl Hagelin but it doesn't mean that he's earned a permanent stay with the Rangers yet but the rookie winger certainly has the opportunity to turn this call-up into that....i've been posting about Hagelin on this blog for the past two and a half years, so it's awesome to...
