This was absolutely bizarre.  When I first saw it I thought I was just seeing things, but Ottawa Senators Head Coach Paul MacLean definitely had his doppleganger in attendance at their game against Florida on Monday night. Seriously, it looks like some bizarre reflection, but it’s actually some random guy that could 100% be his clone/twin. I hope someone finds out where this guy came from.

Paul MacLean lookalike ejected from seat behind Senators bench (Video)

Ottawa Senators head coach Paul MacLean was so focused on the game that he may have had no idea that a lookalike fan was sitting in the front row seat right behind the Senators bench. SportsNet cameras perfectly captured MacLean with an impersonator sitting right behind him, and viewers and broadcasters got a good chuckle out of it. However, apparently a Senators team executive...

Senators head coach Paul MacLean’s disturbing doppelganger identified (pics/vid)

On Monday night, the Ottawa Senators hosted the Florida Panthers at Scotiabank Place and while it is a welcome scene simply to have NHL games being played again, something that was going on just off the ice definitely stole the show in Ottawa. Cameras, and then countless folks on the internet, noticed a curious figure seated directly behind the Senators’ bench. And what made this...

The prank took some serious effort on the part of the imposter, as he not only replicated...

What's the D'emoticon' for Lehner Being Sent Down to Bingo?

:(  The three headed monster is finally two-pronged. And no, I’m not referring to Robin Lehner’s goatee. Today the Senators announced that they had returned Lehner back to their AHL affiliate in Binghamton. The decision to move the lauded prospect can hardly be categorized as a surprise. Given Ben Bishop’s contractual situation – a one-way deal...

Sometimes a photo speaks more than words and this post contains an image from last night's Florida Panthers/Ottawa Senators that needs to be seen to be believed. The image shows Ottawa Senators head coach Paul McLean and his possible twin sitting behind him at the Scotiabank Center:

Karlsson Picks Up Assist In New And Innovative Way

Add an assist on the #Sens fourth goal to Erik Karlsson. He finishes game with 1 goal, 2 assists. #Sensareback — Ottawa Senators (@NHL_Sens) January 19, 2013 To the video... I'm not sure if this should be placed in group D, or if this qualifies as a new group entirely - play where Karlsson doesn't touch the puck. Great scorers they got working there at MTS.

Today in Low Hanging Fruit: Kovalev Back in Ottawa

"And the fact I am criticized … There are different journalists. My opinion of Ottawa journalists is that they don 't watch hockey at all. When they fly with the team and go through the [metal detector] at an airport, their bags are filled with beer. You realize right away what these people do when they write about the NHL." ~ Alexei Kovalev, scapegoat – August...
