Everyone can analyze last night's game all they want, but it wasn't about the absence of Gonchar or anything else. All it really comes down to is something quite simple and a fact that honestly won't take an entire post-game show to discuss -- the Pens just played badly - it's just that simple.Last night was the first time that they didn't play quite "up-to-snuff" throughout the majority of the game. They looked nothing like the high-calibur team we've become so used to seeing that completely takes over their opponent giving them little room / time to skate let alone come up with any adjustments in time to make it a fair battle.Pittsburgh has two players who had a significant role in last night's win - Sidney Crosby and Brent Johnson. Thanks to both of them, the Penguins were able to stay in the game and ultimately win. Although, I think I would advise Crosby against thinking about cutting his hair again anytime soon -- bad things seem to happen...
