Goaltender Evgeni Nabokov has agreed to a deal to play for the New York Islanders next season. The 36-year-old Nabokov is 17-18-3 with a 2.56 goals against average and a .912 save percentage. He played part of last season in the KHL and declined to report to the Islanders after being claimed off waivers. But he returned to the NHL this season and has played well for the Islanders in the absence of No. 1 goalie Rick DiPietro. With 310 career wins, Nabokov ranks 22nd all-time in the NHL. He's a two-time NHL All-Star.
