Nathan Horton had his 2011 Stanley Cup Final shortened when he was concussed by Vancouver defenseman Aaron Rome. The Bruins forward spoke Tuesday at media day and said he was looking forward to getting another chance at playing in a Cup Final. However, that may not be in the cards. Horton left the Bruins’ 4-3 triple-overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 1 with what appeared to be some sort of upper-body injury. Horton immediately went to the bench, went down the tunnel and wasn’t seen again the rest of the night. It didn’t look very encouraging, but Boston head coach Claude Julien wasn’t tipping his hand in regards to the injury. “Nothing right now,” Julien replied when asked if he had an update on Horton before adding,  ”because there’s nothing to say because our doctors haven’t finalized the evaluation properly.” NBC’s Pierre McGuire said during the telecast that he had heard rumblings that Horton has been battling an upper-body injury as of late. It’s impossible to know if that’s related to Wednesday night’s injury, though. Horton did suffer an upper-body injury on April 20 when he fought Pittsburgh’s Jarome Iginla in a game at TD Garden. Horton has been one of the Bruins’ best players all postseason long. Horton assisted on Milan Lucic‘s first goal of the game, which gives Horton 18 points on seven goals and 11 assists during the playoffs. The injury to Horton forced Julien to put Tyler Seguin on a line alongside Lucic and David Krejci.
