By Pat White (@patwhite9126) Getty Images The Dallas Stars have teetered on the playoff bubble the past five years, but have found themselves on the outside looking in. They have gone through three head coaches, seen dips in attendance and have made some head-scratching acquisitions during that span. Stars owner Tom Gaglardi saw the 2013 off-season as an opportunity to give the franchise a facelift from top to bottom. The first identity change came with the crest on the front of the sweater. I know this is probably the least important change, but I couldn’t stand those old Stars sweaters. They couldn’t quite get it right from the plain “Dallas” logo on the front, the Stars crest and those hideous black sweaters with the Texas longhorn constellation. I didn’t like the new design at first with the “D” inside of what looks like a throwing star, but it’s growing on me. Alright, enough with my fashion discussion for the day.
