The NHL Award show happened today in Las Vegas. Here were my choices for the awards and nominees when the season ended and here were my comments when the award nominees were announced.
Had I been given an award ballot I would have made a minor change in the results. James Neal would have made second team all star at left wing in place of Ray Whitney. I think Neal had a better season but he lost out because he plays both left and right wing and made first team all star on right wing. It would have been interesting if Neal made first team all star on right wing and second team at left wing. He almost did. Claude Giroux had a similar situation finishing third in voting at both centre and right wing. He lost out for lack of a defined position.

Per a statement from the official Philadelphia Flyers Facebook page, Claude Giroux will be on the cover of EA Sports' NHL 13.
Claude Giroux had this to say in an article on NHL.com:
"The support fans have given me throughout the campaign has been unbelievable."
That is all you guys. This should be a national example to anyone who ever questions the Philly fan base...
