According to reports, the Minnesota Wild have officially signed right winger, Jed Ortmeyer to a one-year deal. Ortmeyer’s contract is a two-way contract, and he has been placed on the Houston Aeros of the AHL. Ortmeyer, 32, signed a pro-tryout contact earlier in the season with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. In 20 games with San Antonio, Ortmeyer scored two goals and one assist, and amassed 16 penalty minutes.
Also, according to ESPN, Anaheim Duck’ center-man Ryan Getzlaf has been placed on the IR, and will not play for at least three more weeks with nasal fractures. Getzlaf, 25, has scored 13 goals and 24 assists in 40 games for the Ducks this season.
