Brandon Dubinsky of the Columbus Blue Jackets was slapped with a $10,000 fine by the NHL’s Dept. of Player Safety for this boarding penalty on Rob Scuderi of the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night.
It’s “Rivalry Night” on NBC Sports, featuring the Boston Bruins & the Montreal Canadiens. But no one expected the rivalry to take place between teammates, with Lars Eller of the Canadiens hitting Carey Price below the belt during warmups. Price left the ice but started the game as expected.
Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins stood tall facing Lars Eller on a breakaway to keep the score at 0-0. The final score ended 2-1 in favor of the Boston Bruins.
Ben Lovejoy, formerly of the Pittsburgh Penguins, was dealt to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a 5th Round Draft Pick.
