Niemi the next Hasek?

The Hawks played a  solid game and got some bitter sweet revenge against the very solid Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday night sending the yotes a solid message that yes we can play with you guys and beat you too. With that win Chicago claimed top spot in the powerful and competitive Western Conference….for now. Phoenix had won all 3 match-ups prior to last night’s battle between the 2 top dogs in the west and they were currently on a 9 game win streak and 9-1 since the Olympic break. Chicago, well the Hawks have not been so hot giving up leads over Detroit, Washington, Philadelphia and these pesky crime dogs to name a few of the last games to eventually go on and lose those particular contests. Chicago played a full strong game with good overall pressure, some excellent team defense and some remarkable saves by Niemi throughout the game.
