Now that the 'Canes are out of the running, who's Mer gonna root for?

Oh, like you care.Decisions, decisions. Now that my beloved team's playoff hopes are dashed once and for all, should I even pick a team to root for in this year's final? Should I pick one of the top eight in the East, or go totally rogue and root for the NHL's Phoenix Keyotees?Let's look at the top 8 in East, first: 1. Washington - It's tempting, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to root for Ovie. 2. New Jersey - Where's the fun in that? Even if I do respect Brodeur as a goaltender, I'd feel like a phony backing them. 3. Buffalo - I really don't have a reason to root for them. Ryan Miller isn't enough of a reason for me and besides, I have no one to impress here. 4. Pittsburgh - I enjoy watching them play. I like Sid the Kid - would love to see him win back-to-backs, and I once had strong ties to PA. My good pal Allison is a rabid Pens fan and it would be fun to rah-rah with her. Maybe. 5. Ottawa - Root for Matt Cullen, maybe? IDK ...
