Former Philadelphia Flyers legends Bernie Parent and Eric Lindros stole the show during Saturday's NHL Winter Classic Alumni game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Parent, who led the Flyers to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1974 and 1975, drew loud chants of "Bernie, Bernie, Bernie" from the huge crowd of 45,808 at the home of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The 66-year-old netminder, sporting white hair and a matching beard, didn't disappoint the raucous crowd, turning aside all six shots he faced in his 5 1/2-minute stint to start the game.

Lindros also was greeted warmly in his first time back in Philadelphia in more than 10 seasons.

Reunited on the Legion of Doom line with John LeClair and Mikael Renberg, he helped set up the game's opening goal by LeClair in the Flyers' 3-1 victory.

Lindros, the former No. 1 overall pick in the 1991 draft, had an ugly falling out with former Flyers general manager Bobby Clarke at the end of his tenure in Philly.

Clarke, the captain of the Stanley Cup-winning teams in the 1970s, also drew a huge ovation.

Shjon Podein and defenseman Mark Howe also scored goals for the Flyers, who will host the Rangers in the annual Winter Classic game on Monday.

Glenn Anderson scored the lone goal for the Rangers, who featured a lineup with Hall of Fames Mark Messier and Brian Leetch as well as Stephane Matteau, one of the heroes in the run to New York's Stanley Cup victory in 1994 that ended a 54-year drought.
