The Blackhawks managed to get a point on Sunday night against the hated Detroit Red Wings. The Wings won a physical game with an overtime goal, courtesy of Pavel Datsyuk, during an absolute mess in front of the net, that left Corey Crawford under defenseman Steve Montador. That wasn’t really the story, though. The story wasn’t the putrid officiating throughout the game, which is some sort of epidemic around the league right now, either. Nor was it the fact that the Blackhawks remained winless in 2012 and now reside in third place in the Central Division. The big concern is the injury to Patrick Sharp, who left the game after scoring a goal in the first period that put the Hawks up 2-0. Of course, everything is pending a reassessment on Monday, but Sharp did not return after scoring his goal. He was not on the bench and was listed as having, what else, an upper-body injury. Sharp has appeared in every game for the Hawks this season after missing all of training camp and t...

Patrick Sharp’s injury may be the decline of the Chicago Blackhawks in the West

It was a two-team jostle in the Central Division while fans of both the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings wondered when the Nashville Predators were going to thrust in the thick of things. Finally, A Video Showcasing The Burrito-Making Skills Of Patrick Kane And Patrick Sharp

Evidently, all Qdoba Mexican grill chains in the greater Chicagoland area sell burritos named after Chicago Blackhawks stars Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp. Sharp Out 3-4 Weeks; Is it Panic Time for Stan Bowman?

After going largely unscathed on the injury front for the first half of the season, the Chicago Blackhawks have been getting bitten by the bug in a big way in recent weeks. You have Marcus Kruger out with a concussion (although he is skating now and should be back soon), Daniel Carcillo down with a knee injury that he sustained on his incredibly stupid hit on Tom Gilbert against...

Quenneville Sees Opportunity With Sharp Out

Coach Joel Quenneville, among others, won't dwell on the fact that Patrick Sharp is out for 3-4 weeks with an upper-body injury. In fact, he feels as if it will force the team to tighten things up, fix some areas of their game and welcomes the adversity. The challenge isn't new for Joel Quenneville, who coached the Blackhawks to their four Stanley Cup in 2010 and saw Adam...

Blue Jackets-Blackhawks Preview

Mired in their longest losing streak in nearly three years, the Chicago Blackhawks now must get used to being without one of their top players. Their cause might be helped by facing a last-place team adjusting to a new coach. Missing Patrick Sharp, the Blackhawks try to avoid a fifth straight loss as they face a team they've dominated this season when the Todd Richards-led Columbus...
