Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk is simply amazing.  The things he can do with a puck are absolutely astounding.  He scored this incredible goal on Tuesday night against the Nashville Predators to tie the game late in the third period.  Not many players have the ability to skate through five players and then beat one of the best goalies in the NHL.  You could see Datsyuk really wanted this one by his uncharacteristic celebration.  Unfortunately the Red Wings went on to lose in overtime, but not before Datsyuk made it interesting. Part of what makes the Detroit Red Wings’ Pavel Datsyuk so amazing to watch is how effortless he is in dominating hockey games. The three-time Selke Trophy winner is known for his excellent two-way play, but then he can turn around and make dazzling offensive moves that leave viewers stunned. Check out this goal, where Datsyuk simply splits the defense of the Nashville Predators...

Pavel Datsyuk Embarrasses Entire Predators Team

Pavel Datsyuk is as good of a stick-handler as you will ever see, and on Tuesday night he again proved exactly why. Check out Datsyuk’s incredible goal which included him skating past the entire Predators team and not apologizing one time. Easy candidate for goal of the year in the NHL. The goal also tied up the game 3-3 late in the third period but Nashville prevailed 4-3 in...

Pavel Datsyuk leaves four Nashville defenders looking silly in amazing goal (VIDEO)

Luckily for these four Nashville defenders they aren’t the first and certainly aren’t last in a line of opposition players that have been embarrassed by Red Wings star Pavel Datsyuk. Watch Datsyuk's dazzling goal vs. Preds

Hockey is a certainly a team sport. The squad that eventually lifts the Stanley Cup at season's end is the one that can roll four lines, has three quality defensive pairings, a strong goalie and a solid backup. But when it comes to highlight reel goals, Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk often stands, errr, skates on his own. Tuesday night in Nashville, Datsyuk took control...

Pavel Datsyuk goes one-on-four to score goal (VIDEO)

Pavel Datsyuk’s dangles are borderline unfair.  Tuesday night at Nashville with the Red Wings trailing 3-2 late in the third, Datsyuk decided that he didn’t need no stinkin’ teammates. Pav took the puck out of the Wings’ zone, headed up the center of the ice where he met three Predators waiting at their blue line.  Instead of the drop-and-chase, Datsyuk went magician-like...

Pavel Datsyuk Embarrasses Nashville Defense With Beautiful End-to-End Goal

What is there to even say about Pavel Datsyuk? People often use words like magical, mystical, supernatural, etc. to describe a Datsyuk goal since his talents are truly otherworldly. Pavel Datsyuk Skates Over, Under, Around Every Member of Predators to Score Goal (Video)

Hockey has three-on-two rushes, four-on-fours and maybe two-on-threes. But rarely does an essentially one-on-six rush yield a goal. Pavel Datsyuk showed why he’s regarded as one of the best in the game Tuesday night when he wove through the Predators’ defense to bag a goal that may go down as one of the best of the year. While Nashville hung on to win in overtime, the clinic...

Pavel Datsyuk Scores Dazzling Goal Against Nashville Predators: Video

Pavel Datsyuk played a tremendous game for the beaten-up Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night, and his jaw-dropping effort on a goal in the third period helped Detroit salvage a point out of what became a 4-3 overtime loss. The Wings entered the third down 2-1 but carried the play for much of the frame. Jordin Tootoo tied the game at the 11:33 mark, only for Nashville’s Roman Josi...

Who wants to watch a snazzy goal?

All right, Pavel Datsyuk, do your thing!   Who needs teammates? Well, I guess the Predators could use one or two more. Is Datsyukian a real word now?

Red Wings-Wild wrap-up: slumptastic

The Detroit Red Wings flew to Nashville to face a Predators team that will be on the back half of back-to-back games (the Predators play in Colorado on Monday afternoon) mired in their worst slump of the season and perhaps playing their worst hockey since the team stumbled out of the gate with a 1-and 2 record. The Wings have dropped consecutive losses to St. Louis, Anaheim and now...
