This series is going to be tough. There is a lot of bad blood between these two teams, so it’s going to be a hard fought battle. The biggest thing for the Penguins is for them to continue to play their game, not get caught up in the physicality of the the Flyers. They need to stay out of the penalty box and let the Flyers sit in there so our power play can do work. With the return of Sidney Crosby our power play has the ability to be the best in the league and could definitely thrive against the Flyers 20th ranked penalty kill.
With this season’s series at a dismal 2-4 for the Penguins against the Flyers. The Penguins only beating the Flyers once at home since Consol Energy Center opened, I don’t know that home ice is advantage for the Penguins in the series. But the Penguins have been strong in the second half of the season and I truly believe that there is no team in the league that can match their skill level.
April’s Series Prediction:
Penguins in a tough 6.
