Following two close victories to begin the rookie tournament, the Boston Bruins were hoping to make it a perfect 3-for-3 on Thursday, as they took on the Pittsburgh Penguins. Despite a second straight phenomenal effort between the pipes, the Bruins came up on the short end, dropping a 3-2 decision at Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.For the second day in a row, fans in Kitchener were treated to an early display of offense. The Penguins started the scoring at the exact halfway mark of the opening period, when Casey Pierro-Zabotel lit the lamp from Robert Bortuzzo and Lane Caffaro.A little more than three minutes later, Boston came up with an answer. After receiving a pass from Jason Wilson, Marc Zanetti sent a shot in the direction of the net.
