FAREWELL: Ben Lovejoy

This was the logical move given how well Despres and Bortuzzo have played. And, really, Lovejoy was never gonna see the ice again. Marc-Andre Fleury: Why the Penguins Should Bench Him

From Billy Nauman of The Hockey Writers: Marc-Andre Fleury is a scapegoat for a reason. He is not an elite goaltender. He never has been and he never will be. Ducks' Viktor Fasth making most of audition between the pipes

As the momentum from the United States' triumph at the World Junior Championships spilled over into the start of an abbreviated NHL season, there was much ado about Anaheim Ducks 2011 second-rounder John Gibson.
