There have been more than a few questionable calls so far this season that have potentially cost teams a point or two in the standings. The latest victim? The Nashville Predators, who were scored upon by Matt Duchene - a very offside Matt Duchene. From TSN's Instagram feed comes the helpful illustration above.

Yes, what a play indeed! What a play that never should have happened, as the NHL told Nashville coach Barry Trotz. "Oops, yeah, our bad. Sorry about that! Bad call... you probably could have won that game if that call was made. You didn't need those two points, did you?"

Linesman misses offside call, results in goal
Sometimes in sports, the worst officiating calls are the ones that aren’t even made. That was the case Monday in Colorado where the Avalanche and Predators got together for a little holiday matinee hockey. The two clubs faced off in Denver in what ended up being a wild affair, with the Avs coming away with a 6-5 win. They were certainly helped by an egregious non-call, however...

Pavel Datsyuk scores goal after skating past entire Nashville Predators defense (Video)
Last night, Detroit Red Wings speedster Pavel Datsyuk might have scored the most impressive goal of the shortened NHL season so far.
It happened in the third period of the Red Wings game against the Nashville Predators as Pavel took the puck from his own end and skated past most of the Nashville defense to get a solid shot attempt against Nashville's Pekka Rinne.
