Nashville Predators forward Patric Hornqvist is out day-to-day with a lower body injury, as per Nick Cole of The Tennessean. Hornqvist left in the third period of Tuesday's 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks. He did not practice on Wednesday. The injury occurred on the same day he was snubbed for a spot on the Swedish Olympic team. The 27-year-old winger has appeared in 41 games this season. He has 9 goals and 15 assists so far, and has an even plus/minus. Hornqvist leads the teams in shots on goal and is in the top 30 in the league in that statistic. He also plays on the team's powerplay, where 9 of his points have come. There's no clear indication as to when Hornqvist will return, or if he will play on Thursday when the Anaheim Ducks come to town. However, considering that he is only listed as day-to-day is a good sign that the injury is not too severe.
