TEAMS: Nashville Predators, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks
By Buddy Oakes of predsontheglass.com
The Nashville Predators were outplayed in all aspects of the game with the Bruins in Boston on Saturday afternoon but hung just close enough to salvage a point when they took the game to overtime and then lost in the shoot-out.
Patrice Bergeron scored a goal and then picked up the game decider in the shootout for Boston. Daniel Paille and Milan Lucic picked up the other goals for the Bruins.
Mike Fisher was the offensive hero for Nashville as he scored with 3:32 left in the game to temporarily put the Predators in front and eventually allow the game to go to overtime. Shea Weber and Patric Hornqvist scored the other Preds goals.
Tim Thomas was the winner in net, stopping 19 of 22 Predator shots. Pekka Rinne was the hard-luck loser after being peppered with 41 Boston shots.
The Predators returned home after the game and will play the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Bridgestone Arena.

Preds manage point in game they have no business being in…
Sometimes it pays to be lucky more than it does to be good.
In front of 17,565 at TD Gardens in Boston, the Bruins defeated the Nashville Predators in a shootout, 4-3. Don’t let the score fool you, however. Bruins prospect Carl Soderberg may be headed to the NHL
Dynamic Swedish center Carl Soderberg has long been the apple of NHL teams’ eyes. Selected in 2004 by the Blues in the NHL Entry Draft, Soderberg has remained in Sweden, eschewing potential US stardom in the NHL. His steadfast choice to stay close to home prompted the prospect watchers at Hockey’s Future to declare he was “[u]nlikely to return to North America.”

Ty Anderson: Horton setback could trigger trade for slumping Bruins
Bruins coach Claude Julien got real testy with the Boston media when they asked about the status of concussed winger Nathan Horton on Tuesday. Now, as Horton's remained off the ice since...
Lucic Makes the Difference in Bruins Win Over Predators
Boston Bruins left-winger Milan Lucic, shuffled temporarily down to the second line by coach Claude Julien, took this demotion as a sign to work harder and so he did in today’s game against the Nashville Predators, which the Bruins won 4-3 in a shootout.

Bruins Welcome Early Starts, Even Though Heavy Dose of Matinees Down Stretch Require Some Adjustments
