Thursday night's game in British Columbia will the be the first of a back-to-back. The next day, they head to Alberta to take on a struggling Calgary Flames team. Nashville would love to get a win and head into the next game with confidence. Scoring seemed not to be an issue Tuesday night in Dallas, despite not having leading scorer Colin Wilson and Patric Hornqvist in the lineup. Hopefully the scoring continues not to be a problem and not follow a trend similar to the Friday and Saturday night games at Bridgestone Arena, when the Preds scored six on Edmonton and only one on Minnesota. Paul Gaustad will be out of the lineup Thursday as well. Their leading faceoff man has been key to killing penalties and winning important draws. With Chris Mueller being called up, expect him to step into the lineup to replace Gaustad. However, head coach Barry Trotz could plug Zach Boychuk back into the lineup. The three keys to victory are 1) Capitalize on opportunities; 2) Shut down the Sedins; and 3) 3rd and 4th liners need to contribute. Canucks: Vancouver is in a slump winning only one out of their last five games. That one victory came in a shootout, snapping the Blue Jackets' five game win streak. The Canucks start a four game home stand that they would love to capitalize on with any opportunities that come there way so they can keep on top of the Pacific Division. Defenseman Kevin Bieksa has yet to fully recover from a groin injury suffered in the last meeting between the two teams on February 22. Bieksa is listed as day-to-day. Meanwhile, center Ryan Kesler is out indefinitely with a foot injury. The Sedin twins and Alexander Burrows line has rarely been broken up. They are always together and have excellent chemistry. Shea Weber and Roman Josi will have their hands full attempting to slow them down in Vancouver. Luongo vs. Schneider Canucks goalie rivalry video from TSN

Roberto vs. Cory A great twist on a classic Vancouver Rivalry. The 2 netminders Cory Schneider and Roberto Luongo both say the media has blown the ultra competitive rivalry between the pipes over the top. The two netminders have some fun for the camera, caught on You Tube. Canucks fans will LOVE this Video. Luongo vs. Schneider. CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE CANUCKS BLOG IN THE CLUBHOUSE TODAY!

ICYMI The Vancouver Canucks won! I’m serious! They did!

Two points! Throw all context out the window and celebrate the fact the Canucks earned two points in a game. Their slide means that simply winning a hockey game is reason enough to celebrate. It wasn’t particulary pretty, but it was needed. The road trip is over with three points from three games and the Canucks now head into a four game homestand against Nashville, Detroit, Minnesota...

Roberto Luongo and Cory Schneider spoof their “rivalry” on TSN segment

The goalie situation in Vancouver is anything but settled, what with Roberto Luongo and Cory Schneider going back and forth as the number one netminder on the club. As it stands Schneider and Luongo have nearly split the goaltending duties right down the middle, appearing in 14 and 12 games respectively. Despite this ongoing competition, the two happen to be quite friendly, as evidenced...

Nashville Predators vs. Canucks betting odds and handicapping preview

4 Game Home Stand Begins vs. Predators Well, on paper, the Vancouver Canucks three game road trip was not a total disaster! Three points in two games against Columbus helped them garner three of a possible six points during the three game road swing. The Canucks return home Thursday to face a Nashville Predators team that has had as much trouble scoring goals as the Canucks as...

Roberto Luongo and Corey Schneider star in hilarious video about their relationship

The Vancouver Canucks goalie situation has been talked about often ever since Corey Schneider replaced Roberto Luongo in the playoffs last year.  After deciding to keep Luongo for the time being, he ended up replacing Schneider when Schneider didn’t play well to start the year. The two are friends off the ice which makes things much easier for them, and this video with TSN’s...

Hilarious accidental collision between Vancouver Canucks’ Alex Burrows & Roberto Luongo

Late in the first period on Tuesday night, the Columbus Blue Jackets had an odd-man rush on the Vancouver Canucks.  Canucks forward Alex Burrows was doing his best to back-check and cover the man in front of the net.  He must have thought that there was a pass going out front, rather than a shot, because he dove in the passing lane.  The shot went wide and while Roberto Luongo...

Canucks Gameday: What the Canucks need to do to beat the Predators

Home, Sweet Home The Vancouver Canucks are back at home to start a four game home stand against the Nashville Predators. The Canucks are fresh off of a win in a shootout against the Columbus Bluejackets that snapped the teams four game losing streak and helped salvage the teams three game road trip. The Predators on the other hand are also coming off a win over the Dallas Stars have...

Canucks 7, Predators 4

Andrew Ebbett and Jannik Hansen both had a goal and two assists as the Vancouver Canucks beat the Nashville Predators 7-4 on Thursday night. Alex Edler, Mason Raymond, Max Lapierre, Henrik Sedin on a penalty shot, and David Booth, into an empty net, also scored for the Canucks, who won their second straight. Roberto Luongo finished with 29 saves. Ebbett, who has split time this...

Scratch That…

By: Miranda Martin Miranda@PredneckNation.com With the Nashville Predators taking yet another loss against the Vancouver Canucks 7-4 Thursday night, there will likely be another big shakeup to the lineup. In all honesty, there were some very positive highlights to the loss, more so than usual. Even without Colin Wilson and Patric Hornqvist, the offense was able to score 4 goals ...

Coach Of The Year

I made my first coach of the year pick this season about a month ago.  It was Barry Trotz of the Nashville Predators.  I feel that he is a top coach and has been a top coach for years and it is a shame that he has not won the Jack Adams Trophy as coach of the year in the process.  He has done a wonderful job with the Predators and has not has his due in terms of awards.  I...

Bill Meltzer: Star Gazing: An Easy Win for Nashville

Most games between the Dallas Stars and Nashville Predators are lot more competitive than last night's all-too-easy 4-0 shutout win for the Predators at American Airlines Center. Quite simply, Nashville played a solid all-around game and the Stars did not make themselves very tough to play against. Dallas did very few things right for the first 30 minutes of the game. The...
