Days of Y'Orr:
Detroit Red Wings
The Boston Bruins open up their first home preseason tonight against the Detroit Red Walkers Wings.
As we talked about on #DOYLive last night, the NHL has had a bunch of ridiculous rule changes including:
A penalty when a fighter removes his helmet before the fight
Jersey tuck penalty.
Yeah, the NHL has a rule against having a ******* jersey tucked in. It's called as a 'delay of game' penalty, which is the the NHL's new label term for all arbitrary and ****** penalties. It was called last night in the Carolina Hurricanes' preseason game, as tweeted by Chip Alexander.
Canes' Semin gets "delay of game" penalty for having jersey tucked.

How ******* lame is this league? Seriously - 2 minutes for having a jersey tucked in. I don't get it. I don't get what the point is and I don't think there's even been an explanation behind...

Most 25 year olds in Boston aren’t living in up in some penthouse condo in Boston’s North End.
Brad Marchand isn’t your average 25-year-old.
The Bruins left wing recently purchased a penthouse on Boston’s waterfront, for $1.46 million, according to Boston Business Journal.
Located at 357 Commercial St. on Lincoln Wharf in one of Boston’s most sought-after neighborhoods...
A.B. At a small-for-the-NHL-size of 5′ 9″, 175 lbs, Boston Bruins defenseman, Torey Krug, apparently isn’t afraid to drop the gloves. In last night’s preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings, Krug pounded on the 6′ 0″, 185 lbs Centerman, David McIntyre.
The fight started with Krug cross checking McIntyre to the ice, followed by an exchange of gloves to the face and...
Torey Krug isn’t exactly known as a fighter. Standing just 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds, the Bruins defenseman isn’t exactly a heavyweight, either.
On Thursday night, however, the puck-moving, power-play specialist showed off a different side of his game seldom seen to this point in his NHL career.
After getting into a shoving match with Detroit’s David McIntyre in the corner,...
To say it was a busy week for the NESN Bruins broadcast team might be just a bit of an understatement.
Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley and Jamie Erdahl set out early Monday morning on a road trip with just one thing in mind: Getting Bruins fans ready for hockey season. As they quickly learned, though, there’s already plenty of excitement for the upcoming season.
The four-day tour made...

The Boston Bruins are well into the 2013-14 season’s training camp and on Wednesday, Sept. 18 they have made a few roster moves to get the roster ready for the season. One of the moves has been to send former River Hawk Scott Campbell to the Providence Bruins training camp...
BOSTON — The last time Gregory Campbell was seen on TD Garden ice, he was hobbling off the ice, barely making it to the bench. He had broken his leg, of course, after blocking a shot in the Eastern Conference finals, ending his season.
On Thursday night, Campbell was back on the Garden ice quite literally taking the next step in his recovery from that broken leg he suffered blocking...
The Whalers may be gone, but there’s still a thirst for hockey in Connecticut, and NESN’s Back in Black and Gold Tour helped quench that thirst in advance of the upcoming season on Tuesday.
After the barnstorming efforts kicked off Monday morning and into Providence on Monday, the NESN Bruins broadcast team of Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley and Jamie Erdahl took off for Hartford...
The battle for Bruins backup goalie is one of the few real positional battles going on in B’s camp, and Niklas Svedberg did his best to make his case Tuesday night in Baltimore.
The Bruins were in Maryland on Tuesday night to take on the Washington Capitals in preseason action, and the young netminder looked pretty good against the Caps. The 24-year-old made 12 saves on 13 shots...
Goaltender Anton Khudobin proved to be more than competent as the Bruins’ No. 2 last season, going 9-4-1 with a 2.32 goals against average in 14 starts. But now, with Khudobin moving on to back up Cam Ward in Carolina, the Bruins are tasked with finding a new understudy to Tuukka Rask.
Rookie Malcolm Subban is a virtual lock to begin the season in Providence, leaving journeyman...
If all goes according to plan for Tim Thomas, the former Bruins goalie will be suiting up between the pipes for the Panthers when the puck drops in the regular-season opener. The 39-year-old netminder was signed to a professional tryout agreement on Monday after taking a year-long sabbatical from the game, but at least a couple of his former teammates don’t believe the time away...
Gregory Campbell could make his return to game action as soon as tonight when the Bruins host the Detroit Red Wings at the Garden.
And it will be tonight if Campbell has his druthers.
“I think (tonight) is a realistic possibility” Campbell said after yesterday’s morning session at the Garden. “Talking to the surgeon the other day things look good. It’s just a matter of...
Super short recap today 'cause the game wasn't televised in Boston and the online feed we were using didn't start until the second period. From what we saw it was pretty much a snoozefest. But it was Providence Bruins members that pushed Boston to victory.
Justin Florek scored Boston's first goal and then Chris Kelly scored so you know it was a meaningless...
12 p.m. ET: The Bruins will play a game at TD Garden on Thursday night for the first time since they saw the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup in June. There won’t be nearly as much on the line Thursday, but there’s certainly plenty at stake.
The B’s will play their preseason home opener against the Detroit Red Wings, offering fans their “first” glimpse of one of the...
Pez's Note: This preview was written on Friday instead of the normal Saturday game day post because I will be unavailable this weekend. If you have a problem with it, suck it.
Thursday night the Bruins got waxed in a preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings. Seriously, they left the Garden embarrassed as the Red Wings pounded Malcolm Subban to the tune of 8-2. This...
Patrice Purrgeron reporting for duty.
Jon was supposed to do the recap, but he made too many Savard jokes at the game so he's in time out. He's bad. Very bad. I hope someone puts cat poop in his favorite shoes. About 10 minutes ago. That'd be hilarious.
So the Bruins got crushed. CRUSHED. Detroit beat them like the red headed step child of a rented...
