As the clock is about to strike midnight in the lockout countdown, the Nashville Predators have decided to use their "waiver time" wisely. In this waiver, which you can read all the details here, teams are allowed to send veteran players of the AHL with a two-way contract to have the right to play for their farm team. They won't have to be put on re-entry waivers if they are call back 3 days before the start of the season, according to Renaud Lavoie of RDS.

Here is the press release sent out by the Nashville Predators.

Nashville, Tenn. (September 14, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned 22 players to their primary developmental affiliate, the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals, and have loaned Colton Sissons to the Western Hockey League’s Kelowna Rockets.

The breakdown of players assigned to Milwaukee is as follows:

Forwards (12): Daniel Bang, Taylor Beck, Gabriel Bourque, Patrick Cehlin, Kevin Henderson, Jani Lajunen,Michael Latta, Jack MacLellan, Juuso Puustinen, Ben Ryan, Josh Shalla and Austin Watson.

Defensemen (8): Taylor Aronson, Victor Bartley, Anthony Bitetto, Mattias Ekholm, Ryan Ellis, Joonas Jarvinen,Charles-Olivier Roussel and Scott Valentine.

Goaltenders (2): Magnus Hellberg and Jeremy Smith.

The Milwaukee Admirals will have a very interesting and fun season for the fans. They are stacked with solid, but young, talent.

Colton Sissons was also loaned to the Kelowna Rockets, as seen in the press release. Thursday afternoon, the Predators signed him to a a three-year, entry level contract. Read the story of his signing, plus the press release.
