Stars place LW Benn on IR, recall Fraser from AHL

The Dallas Stars placed All-Star left wing Jamie Benn on injured reserve and recalled forward Matt Fraser from Texas of the American Hockey League. The 22-year-old Benn, who underwent an appendectomy last week, has 13 goals and a team-leading 29 assists in 43 games this season. Fraser, 21, has yet to skate in an NHL game. He leads Texas with 21 goals and 14 assists this season.
