Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa left on a stretcher in the first period of Tuesday’s Western Conference quarterfinal Game 3 between Chicago and the Phoenix Coyotes.
Hossa was on the receiving end of a brutal hit in the neutral zone by Coyotes gritty forward Raffi Torres, who left his feet and made contact with Hossa’s head.
The hit occurred at the 11:45 mark.
Torres was not penalized on the play.

In case you missed last night's Chicago Blackhawks/Phoenix Coyotes game three, Chicago's Marian Hossa was knocked out of the game by Phoenix's Raffi Torres.
It happened in the first period of play at about the eight minute mark as Hossa was attempting to get the puck.
After nearly two minutes, Hossa was taken off on a stretcher with an apparent head injury:
