The New York Rangers (45-20-7) defeated the New Jersey Devils (41-27-5) by the score of 4-2, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

...can you say playoffs Rangers fans?

...listen, I can't predict what's in store for this team going forward, but if they go on a nice run to end the season and into the playoffs, every Rangers fans should send a thank you note to Devils coach Peter DeBoer for waking this team from its recent slumber by basically challenging to the Blueshirts to a game opening brawl which they were more than happy to accept. Strategy completely blew up in his face by giving all the momentum to the Rangers and the MSG crowd. It's been awhile since we've seen that Rangers team and it was great to have them back.

...welcome to the season Brandon Dubinsky.

...amazing how much better of a team the Rangers are with Callahan in the line-up. Made life miserable for Brodeur.

...not exactly a classic Lundqvist/Brodeur match-up.

...little bit of a tough go for Stepan recently so it was nice to see him clinch the win with a sweet deflection.

...i guess Zuccarello HAS sparked the power play.

...hey Carter, you got knocked the F out!

...Boyle's stat line: two blocked shots, six hits and 13 of 18 on faceoffs. That's the type of performance you need to win these games.

...line of the night by Rupp to Clarkson, "You better be careful. If you keep talking I'm going to knock you out on national TV." Unreal!

...not sure any team in the NHL can handle Hagelin's speed.

...off tomorrow then Red Wings in town on Wednesday.
