NY Rangers Blog:
The New York Rangers (10-3-3) defeated the New York Islanders (4-8-3) by the score of 4-2, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports....as you would have expected the Islanders gave the Rangers everything they had and I'm very impressed that the Blueshirts were able to hold off this very inspired team. Never easy for the Rangers on Long Island....tonight is why it's so important to have Avery on the Rangers. He knows how to play and excel in these type of games. Expect the same Avery against the Flyers, Pens and other top teams in the East....Richards is proving he is not only a big time player in the NHL, but a clutch one at that. Man, I might be eating some crow on this one. Very happily though....Rangers not only lose that game without Lundqvist they lose big. That diving save in the second period could be save of the year....looks like the Rangers are back to taking too many penalties....i know EC had two nice games last week, but can Torts please get him of...

When the New York Rangers selected J.T. Miller 15th overall
in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, many, including myself, were unsure of the quality
of that selection. Players with bigger
name recognition and reportedly higher upside were still on the board when the
Rangers took Miller. Thus far Miller is
doing everything he can to quell the doubters and reward the Rangers for...
There has been very little news on Marc Staal over the past few months, and even less that was good, but today is a glimmer of hope for the New York Rangers All-Star defenseman. Larry Brooks at the New York Post
reports that concussion specialist Dr. Robert
Cantu cleared Staal for light physical activity following his Tuesday examination. This is a positive step after Cantu...

Exactly one month ago, when the Rangers and Islanders met for the first time this season at the Nassau Coliseum, the Blueshirts were just returning to the U.S. after their lengthy European road trip that opened the season. New York (City) ended up losing that game by a score of 4-2 as they did not capitalize on prime opportunities to put the puck in the net. This time around, however...
Lots of excitement as the Dan Girardi All Star write-in campaign began yesterday with numerous tweets, Facebook messages and e-mails encouraging others to vote for the Rangers underappreciated defenseman or just letting other Blueshirts fans know that they had voted. Here's a pic reader John D. sends me of him doing his part...The campaign also received a nice plug from Greg...

Brad Richards is taking to life as a big star in New York quite well.
He's showing up in Page Six for squiring starlets around town on his nights off and leading the Rangers to wins when he's working, something that's known as Jetering around these parts. Well, it's not really known as Jetering, but it should be especially when the Rangers are as hot as they are right...
Loved this pic of Brad Richards celebrating his game winning goal against the Islanders last night while the Rangers bench erupts in the background and Islanders players look like they're attending a funeral...Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at email@example.com.
UPDATE (Nov. 15): Craig Custance of ESPN Insider has this quote from former New York Rangers goalie Mike Richter: “I’m a huge fan of this outdoor game. It gets back to the roots of our game. I’ll participate in whatever I can,” he said. “I grew up idolizing the Flyers. We had a couple wars [...]
