Blueshirts United reports that Rangers acquired forward Francois Bouchard from the Washington Capitals in exchange for defenseman Tomas Kundratek. Bouchard, 23, was the 35th overall selection in the 2006 draft by Washington out of the QMJHL where twice he exceeded 100 points in a season. Two years ago he scored 21 goals and 52 points, in helping lead the Hershey Bears to the Calder Cup championship."Bouchard is a skilled guy that can play all positions and just needed a change of scenery," said Jeff Gorton, the Rangers assistant general manager, following the trade.
