So well over a week ago I posted here on The Rangers Tribune that I was looking to bulk up the staff on the blog for the upcoming season, and over the course of the next few days received tons of interest from many of you in regard to a writing position. I thought it would only be fair to give everyone an update on the status of everything there, so here it goes;

- If you showed interest in writing for the blog and have already submitted your writing assignment entry, I thank you for getting me your writing in a timely fashion and the analyzing process has already begun. Also, check your emails as I sent something out to all of you late last night.

- If you showed interest in writing and have not submitted your writing assignment yet, TODAY is the final day to do so. I don't want this to drag on for the entire summer so we need to wrap this up and make decisions.

- I should have my decisions made on the new Rangers Tribune staff in a week. I put an emphasis on 'should' because I'm taking into consideration that the decision process will be quite tough considering the number of entries I received and their quality. The new staff will be picked out no later than in two weeks.

- Also, although the blog will obviously be very slow over the next four weeks since August is by far the worst month of the year for hockey fans, much behind-the-scenes work will be going on to make The Rangers Tribune absolutely perfect for the 2012-13 season. I'm really looking forward to what is to come as we continue to prove to be the best New York Rangers blog out there!!
