1) Erik Karlsson, Senators -- His points-per-game average increased from .433, .600 and .963 points per game the last three seasons.2) Zdeno Chara, Bruins -- He recorded plus-33 in back-to-back seasons ratings in back-to-back seasons and scored a career-high 52 points last season.3) Alex Pietrangelo, D, Blues -- He  broke out with 51 points and a plus-16 rating last season. He could score at a greater rate with a better surrounding cast this season. 4) Kris Letang, Penguins -- He produces when he plays. But . . . he played more than 74 games just once. 5) Dustin Byfuglien, Jets -- He is a physical force who can also go to the net and score goals.6) Shea Weber, Predators --  His average over the last four years: 19 goals, 48 points, 55 penalty minutes, 20 power-play points and 239 shots on goal.
