Scoring by committee approach working for the Blues so far

ST. LOUIS -- Brenden Morrow doesn't sugar coat it. If you're searching for a sniper, the kind of cold blooded finisher kids pick as their video game favorite because he scores all willy-nilly, you probably aren't spending much time checking out the St. Louis Blues. "We've known all along we probably don't have that superstar talent," the forward said...

Halak made 19 saves in moving into the No. 1 spot on the Blues' career shutout list. Hall had...

Video: Entertainment and roster introduction before the St. Louis Blues opener

Did you miss opening night? No worries. The Blues posted a 21-minute video of the festivites prior to puck drop at last night's 2013-14 opener. Here's to hoping they use the projectors regularly during the season.  Have to give...

Preview: Backes happy as any to have Panthers visit St. Louis

After setting the tone early in a season-opening victory, St. Louis Blues center David Backes might be able to provide a similar lift when his team faces Florida Panthers, whom he's produced against in the past. He’ll be back...

GIF: Tomas Fleischmann tries to elbow T.J. Oshie in the head

The St. Louis Blues dominated the Florida Panthers on Saturday night by a score of 7-0. When the game was safely out of reach, the Panthers started showing their frustration. Tomas Fleischmann was caught trying to hit T.J. Oshie in the head with his elbow. Thankfully the hit missed, but it's safe to say the intent was there and if it would have connected we'd be hearing...

Blues' light schedule allows club to roll with Halak

The plan entering the 2013-14 season was to give goaltender Jaroslav Halak the bulk of the starts in net. With as light as the schedule is early the Blues will roll with Halak for the foreseeable future. Halak backstopped the Blues again Saturday against Florida and it’s possible that he may receive the first six assignments of the season. After Saturday’s game the club will...

Blues declaw the Panthers

The skeptics wanted proof. They’re getting it. After back-to-back playoff exits there remains a percentage of Blues’ fans who understandably would like the team to give them a reason to believe that expectations should be any different in 2013-14. It’s only two games — please note that the Blues started 6-1 last season — but the reasons are plentiful through the first...
