The rosters keep on growing. The Detroit Red Wings and the Toronto Maple Leafs have each added players for the Winter Classic Alumni Showdown. The showdown will take place December 31 at Comerica Park in Detroit. The Red Wings have added former defenseman Aaron Ward and forwards Red Berenson, Jimmy Carson, and Dennis Polonich. The Maple Leafs have added enforcers Brad May and Dave Williams. Some notes on the additions. Berenson will be very busy during the week of the showdown. He will also be coaching the University of Michigan Hockey Team in the Great Lakes Invitational. May spent one season with the Red Wings (2009-2010) Williams is the NHL’s all-time leader in penalty minutes with 3,966 Check out other great articles at Sports Media 101.
