Zdeno Chara, captain of Team Chara, started the NHL All-Star festivities off with a bang by selecting Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk with the first overall selection in the All-Star fantasy draft.  He later picked up Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard, thus giving Red Wings fans a team to cheer for throughout the weekend. During the Skills Competition, Jimmy Howard saved three of the five shootout shots he faced, while Datsyuk missed his only opportunity in the Elimination Shootout.  Datsyuk also participated in the Challenge Relay, but his team ended up finishing last (which I attribute to Patrick Kane’s inability to pass the puck, but that’s just me). The highlight of the Skills Competition, at least for yours truly, was the bombs off the stick of Zdeno Chara.  Chara, the defending champion of the Hardest Shot competition, drove a puck a mere 108.8 MPH to claim yet another title.  Shea Weber came close to defeating Chara in the finals with a rocket of 106.0 MPH, but a medi...
