If Roberto Luongo ends up with the Toronto Maple Leafs -- a scenario that became more likely when Dave Nonis was named the Leafs' new GM -- the Vancouver Canucks will probably want more than just center Tyler Bozak in return. The Vancouver Sun's Elliott Pap, for one, expects any deal for Luongo will involve multiple players, and suggests the Canucks could ask for Leafs youngster Nazem Kadri and maybe one of their goaltenders -- either James Reimer or Ben Scrivens.Toronto could have competition for Luongo from the Philadelphia Flyers, but remain the favorite to land the 33-year-old. As Canucks GM, Nonis brought Luongo to Vancouver in 2006.The HockeyFanLand Insight:Just about every hockey fan knows the Toronto Maple Leafs need goaltending help, the above scenario seems likely to be the price for Roberto Luongo. However, if I was the newly appointed general manager I would be extremely hesitant to pull off such a deal. Especially, since it involves the franchises most skilled young asset Nazem Kadri. It is my belief, Nazem Kadri can still be an explosive National Hockey League player. If you look at the former seventh overall pick from 2009 AHL stats, is not hard to see the talent is there. I think what the new management of the Toronto Maple Leafs needs to do is approved a full-time NHL roster spot for Nazem Kadri before agreeing to shipping him off in a blockbuster trade.NHL teams with dynamic young skills at their core are the ones that will succeed. The Toronto Maple Leafs need more of what Nazem Kadri possesses, not less....For more great posts, be sure to visit HockeyFanLand.Related Posts:Brian Burke fired as GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs
