The Los Angeles Kings can't really explain their success on the road in these playoffs. They just hope it continues. The Kings blew an excellent chance to wrap up the Western Conference Finals on Sunday afternoon, as they lost 2-0 to Phoenix at Staples Center. The series now shifts to Phoenix, where the Coyotes should, theoretically, retain the advantage, but this hasn't been a typical postseason for the Kings. The Kings are now 3-2 at home in these playoffs, compared to 7-0 on the road. The Kings beat the Coyotes in the first two games of this series. Success, though, has been more about how the Kings play, not where they play. The Kings will need to get back to their strong forechecking game, which the Coyotes neutralized in Game 4, and the Kings' forwards, in particular, will need to get more pressure on Phoenix goalie Mike Smith.
