The Sabres added another defenseman to their lineup as they agreed to a two-year deal with Shaone Morrisonn. Morrisonn joins the club from Washington, where he played with Alex Ovechkin, Alex Semin and emerging star Mike Green.
The 6'4", 210 pound Morrisonn registered 11 points and 68 penalty minutes in 68 games last year. He has been known to play through injury, as he played the entire 2008 playoffs despite a broken jaw and separated shoulder. Morrisonn also registered 163 hits and 104 blocked shots last year.
