A native of Burlington, Ontario, Conacher played four years of college hockey at Canisius College in Buffalo from 2007 to 2011. In 129 collegiate games with Canisius, Conacher set school records for goals (62) and points (147).
When Conacher was picked up last year by Ottawa, he was a impressive for being a five-foot-eight undrafted rookie in 2013. Conacher last season with both Tampa Bay and Ottawa put up 11 goals and 18 assists in only 47 games, while adding three goals in eight playoff games last season.
However, this year has been a struggle for the sophomore. He has hit the dreaded slump, with just four goals and 16 assists in 59 games.
