Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff returned to the bench for Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Devils.
Ruff had been sidelined for a week since suffering three broken ribs after he was hit by defenseman Jordan Leopold. He had been watching from the press box and relaying his thoughts to the assistants via a headset.
The 51-year-old Ruff is in his 14th season as the club's coach and is the winningest coach in franchise history.
