Found April 04, 2013 on The Nosebleeds:
Since Tuesday’s acquisition of Jaromir Jagr and the confirmation yesterday that center Patrice Bergeron would be out indefinitely with a concussion, many wondered how Claude Julien and the Bruins would align the team’s top six forwards. Thursday morning’s practice hinted at how that alignment would look later tonight against the New Jersey Devils, with Tyler Seguin shifting over to center on the second line to replace Bergeron and Jagr, making his Bruins debut, taking Seguin’s spot on the wing opposite Brad Marchand. Seguin hasn’t had much experience in the faceoff circle since graduating from the OHL to the NHL, but Julien appears confident that he can adjust using his prior experience at center. On another note, Kaspars Daugavins visa has finally cleared and he’ll make his Bruins debut tonight as well, while Wade Redden (acquired at the trade deadline yesterday) is en route to the team but will not play tonight. Here are the anticipated lines based on Thursday’s practice: Lucic-Kr...

Jaromir Jagr’s Bruins Debut Lives Up to Expectations, But Future Hall of Famer Vows to Improve Game

BOSTON — Jaromir Jagr is no stranger to being showered with praise. He’s found success everywhere he’s been, and the fans of those teams have let him know about it. He is, after all, a future Hall of Famer. So you could understand why there was so much anticipation in Boston on Thursday for his debut with the Bruins. A walk through North Station an hour before the game produced...

Jaromir Jagr Was ‘Shocked’ to Join Bruins, But Is Excited to Get Going With B’s (Video)

Jaromir Jagr is no stranger to joining new teams, as his debut with the Bruins on Thursday night will mark the sixth team in his Hall of Fame career. However, that doesn’t mean the forward is used to changing teams. Jagr got his first taste of his new team on Thursday morning when he hit the ice for morning skate in advance of his first game in Black and Gold on Thursday night...

Tyler Seguin’s Shot-Happy Night Helps Bruins Acheive ‘Tremendous Tempo’ in Close Win Over Senators (Video)

The Bruins and Sabres combined for 97 shots Tuesday night, and it felt like Tyler Seguin was responsible for about half of them. In reality, the Bruins forward only had 12 shots to his name, but that aggressive play is certainly a positive indicator given the team’s recent offensive slump. Seguin scored once, Nathan Horton and David Krejci added goals of their own and Anton Khudobin...

Bruins 1 Devils 0

Jagr celebrates withline-mates after scoring The Bruins continued their early April success to the tune of 1-0 shutout over the 8th place New Jersey Devils. Jaromir Jagr scored the only goal for the Bruins off a skate tip from a Brad Marchand pass, and Tuukka Rask finished with 40 saves, making a number of huge ones to keep the game in check. The game had a lot of hype leading...

Tuukka Rask, Jaromir Jagr Form Impromptu ’40-40 Club’ While Helping Bruins to Close Win Over Devils (Video)

Jaromir Jagr is 41 years old, but didn’t look it at the TD Garden. Tuukka Rask isn’t quite as old, but made just one fewer save than Jagr has years while recording a shutout victory. The B’s newest addition looked right at home alongside Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand, scoring in the second period and celebrating not with his trademark salute, but instead with a more important...

36. New Jersey Devils at Boston Bruins. NOW WITH 100% MORE JAGR

Jesus Christ I think I have a huge boner right now.  And now with that, I feel like I should tell the people to temper their expectations for tonight's game. I've seen some people saying Jagr is scoring a hat trick tonight and then is going to pull out a missile and blow up the CEC and then restore faith in North Korea, so let's take it one game at a...

Boston Bruins add Jaromir Jagr, finally get help

First the Boston Bruins went after Brenden Morrow, who went to the Pittsburgh Penguins instead. Then the team believed they had a deal for Jarome Iginla . . . who also ended up with the Penguins. With the trade deadline closing in, the Bruins pried hockey legend Jaromir Jagr away from the Dallas Stars for a conditional draft pick and prospects Lane MacDermid and Cody Payne. The Stars...

The Devils made a move for the 38 year old...

Jaromir Jagr Showcases Aggressiveness in Offensive Zone, Leading to Bruins’ Lone Goal (Video)

An injury to center Patrice Bergeron forced Bruins coach Claude Julien to shake up his highly productive second line Thursday night. Luckily for the B’s, that unit was able to retain its explosiveness even with the team’s best overall forward on the bench. Tyler Seguin shifted back to his natural position to take Bergeron’s spot in the middle, and newcomer Jaromir Jagr stepped...

NHL Trade Deadline Live Blog: Stars in Full Seller Mode Reportedly Trading Jaromir Jagr, Derek Roy

1:30 p.m.: This probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise at this point, but it doesn’t sound like the Bruins will be in on Ryane Clowe now that they’ve reportedly added Jaromir Jagr. RDS’ Renaud Lavoie just tweeted that the Bruins “won’t be a possible destination” for the Sharks forward after Boston’s reported trade for Jagr. 1 p.m.: One of the hockey season...

HockeyBuzz Hotstove: Hotstove: Biggest Trade Winner?

Welcome to the Hotstove! As always, I'm your host, Travis Yost. The 2013 Trade Deadline didn't have the same quantity of trades we've grown accustomed to seeing over the years, but there were a handful of mini-blockbusters in the final hour. And, it's important to note that just days prior to the April 3, 2013 drop-dead date, quality pieces in Jarome Iginla and Jaromir...
