Anaheim improved to 14-3-3 since Jan. 1 with a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night. The win moves the Ducks to within six points on the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Ducks trailed 1-0 in the third period Tuesday in Minnesota before coming from behind for a 2-1 victory. It was the first time all season they were able to come back when trailing after two periods. Led by Corey Perry and Selanne, Anaheim rallied for a second consecutive night. The Penguins remain perfect when leading after two periods, thanks in part to Perry’s goal in the final minute of the second. Pittsburgh is 18-0-2 when leading after the first 40 minutes of play. Selanne narrowly missed being called off-sides to score his 19th goal of the year and 656th of his career, tying him with Brendan Shanahan for 12th place in NHL history. Anaheim’s win put a stop...
