Teemu Selanne scored a goal in perhaps his final home game in Anaheim. Selanne was actually outdone by another Teemu (Hartikainen), who tallied twice to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 2-1 victory over the Ducks on Sunday. Anaheim cut its two-goal disavantage in half with less than six minutes remaining in the first period when Selanne converted a pass from the bottom of the left circle by Niklas Hagman for his third goal in four games. Selanne's 663rd career tally put him one behind Philadelphia's Jaromir Jagr for 11th place on the all-time list. "The Finnish Flash", who trails Dale Hawerchuk by four points for 18th place in league history, is Anaheim's all-time leader in games, goals, assists and points.

Parros faces uncertain future in Anaheim

Few among the Ducks are more popular than George Parros, whose work on and off the ice over the past six seasons has made him a fan favorite. But the enforcer's future with the team is cloudy now that he's become a regular healthy scratch over the last six weeks and has an expiring contract. Unlike three years ago when the Ducks talked to him and got him locked up midway...

Fowler’s Defensive Woes Continue

Cam Fowler of the Anaheim Ducks was one of the higher profile rookies in the NHL last year.  As an 18 year old he played a significant role with the Ducks.  He showed some offensive prowess scoring 40 points from defence.  The problem was he wasn’t much of a defensive player.  He had the worst team and zone adjusted Corsi rating in the league last year.  Anaheim Duck fans...

Teemu Time

Oilers beat Ducks (no April fools joke) 2-1 Three first period goals and all scored by a Teemu, this was an NHL first in what may have been Teemu Selanne’s last home game as a member of the Anaheim Ducks. While fans filled the lower bowl with signs asking for one more year, Selanne remained mum on the subject. Continue reading "Teemu Time"

Oilers-Ducks Preview

It's safe to say that Teemu Selanne will get the biggest cheers during the Anaheim Ducks' home finale Sunday night. Selanne has not yet committed to returning for the 2012-13 season as he takes the ice at home for the final time this season when the Ducks meet the Edmonton Oilers. The veteran winger will turn 42 in July but continues to be productive, leading Anaheim (33...

The Mighty and Ultimate Ryan Getzlaf Rookie Swatch.

Another pickup made with Card Draft funds. Just under eight clams. Love the bright swatch and the fact that the jersey piece isn't tiny. The old school Mighty Ducks logo underneath the relic area is just fantastic as well.Numbered 203/250, it's another addition to the Getzlaf Collection. There is an autographed version of the card, which I believe is short-printed to just...
