The Ottawa Senators held a players-only meeting on Wednesday, one day removed from being blasted by the Philadelphia Flyers. Under new coach Paul MacLean, Ottawa has limped out to a 1-5-0 mark and yielded seven goals in two of its last three games. "We know we're not playing well and we know other teams are licking their chops to play us right now," forward Jason Spezza told TSN on Tuesday. "We have to face it head on, get better an improve." The Senators have nowhere to go but up after allowing four first-period goals en route to a 7-2 loss to the Flyers. "The most important thing we can right now is not put our head down and feel sorry for ourselves," defenseman Chris Phillips said. "We have to be positive about the things we are doing well and continue with that. "Obviously there are some areas we have to tighten up a lot." Ottawa returns to the ice on Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.
