Here's an interesting tidbit of information from Larry Brooks of the NY Post:

Shane Doan visited Rangers' practice facility and took the tour of New York yesterday, Post has learned.

Take that as you may, but at the very least, this confirms that there is mutual interest between the Rangers and Doan.
